Recap of 2011
Once again I've neglected this blogs...:(. Just goes to show how busy we've been. Spring, summer, fall and winter and not a word from me. Well let me recap as short as possible. Had a great Easter with the kids, same old traditions...egg hunt, egg dying and easter baskets and ultimately our famous Easter meal...Spiral Ham, arroz con gandules and potato salad. Well finally this year we went on vacation to Orlando, FL. Had lots of fun there. Visited all the parks and even had time to head out to Clearwater where we did some jetskiing...was lots of fun. Sorry Sam and Tristan didn't come with us. The rest of the summer was quiet.with mostly trips to Six Flags...always a hit with the kids!! Well fall was sort a bummer here in CT. Andy started football and boy was that a long season...bummer that one of the coaches had a accident and passed away... Aaron also played football for Cheney Tech and that was eventful.. Had the most horrific Fall Nor'Easter. Halloween was cancelled. We had no power for 8 days...thank goodness for our generator. Thanksgiving was quiet as usual. We ate took a long nap and then Sam, Aaron, Angel and I headed out to the stores to do some early black Friday shopping. Target was a hit!! Did alot of shopping there with great deals. Cyber Monday was great we did the rest of our shopping then. Love sales!!! Wow Christmas was soon here. Missed breakfast with Santa due to Andy starting Pee-Wee basketball but glad that Tristan and the others had a great time. Christmas was fun, early morning opened gifts then a great big family breakfast with our little family.

Stone Age Rock Gym
It's almost the middle of April! Andrew's birthday party was a success!! Kids had a blast. Andrew has been enjoying his trampoline. Afterwards we got together with family. Had lots of laughs. Nothing like catching up with family and having a blast! Easter's in another two weeks...already started the shopping for goodies! The weather isn't all that great! But let's not complain and be greatful, look at Japan and all that their enduring. God Bless the Japanese people. Still working on the kitchen and hoping that by Easter it will be all done
Yah Spring (Not)!!
Well March certainly went out like a lion!! Bad weather and some snow. Busy here as usual yesterday our Superstar turned 19! Feeling older as I look at my girls and see how grown they both are. Sabrina had a blast last weekend she went out to NYC with Tim and Taylor to meet up with her cousin Iley and friends. They had a great time celebrating her birthday in NYC!! Sabrina brought back home a delicious Juniors Strawberry Cheesecake. Looking forward to this weekend, we're celebrating Andrew's 9th birthday at the Stone Age Rock Gym in Manchester. Looking forward to spending some time with family from NY. Well Spring has sprung, not looking forward to April showers, which have already begun. It's raining today and the foreceast is calling for quite a bit of rain for this coming week. Oh well I suppose April shower will bring those beautiful May flowers. Planning a vacation...actually booked a little vacation, but in the meantime other important events have come to play, we shall see how this will all pans out. The joys of having a big family!! Trying to get the outside ready for Spring. Home projects seem to be taking up a lot of time. Angel's been working on the kitchen and that in itself is exciting.

Our Baby's "9"
On 3/16 our little guy Andy turned 9! The years have certainly gone by so quickly. Brought him here to live in CT when he was only 4 months old. Looking forward to Andy's birthday party on the 1st week in April at Stone Age Rock Gym. Bittersweet day on 3/19 my dearly beloved Grandma's birthday. A day that I shall never forget and will always honor as long as I have breath. This women was not ony a Grandma but a mother to Nilsa and I. She will be My Grandma My Hero! I thank her for the woman that I am today, she taught us to love unconditional, to forgive and above all to help others.

Hannah's Birthday
Well I can't say that the snow here in New England has stopped..honestly not much just flurries every now and then and maybe once an inch or two. Much of the snow here has melted. We had quite a bit of rain on Sat and on Sunday it was terrential. Many floodings in CT. More rain
on Thursday. It seems like the snow pattern will be ending, and sping is around the corner. April showers bring May flowers...rather have rain than snow :). On Saturday Angel along with our 3 youngest, and Tristan in tow headed out to NJ to my cousin Yvette & Eddie's house. They were having a Princess party for their little Princess Hannah. What a beautiful little girl!! She greeted us at the door and told us her name was Princess Hannah and her mom was Princess Mommy, Too Cute!! There also we saw my brother David with his family, My sister Jenn & Jenna, and my cousin Mari, Tito and their family. We had a wonderful time. All the girls were dressed as a Disney Princess. Miss those days when our girls were little. Looking forward to our Andy's Birthday on March 16.

Lyman Orchards and Tristan's 3rd Birthday
On Sat Angel, Andrew and I headed out to Winterfest at Lyman Orchards. The Siberian Husky are a beautiful breed of dog. Very friendly too. We then when on to see the Ice Carving Contest...what an art!! These men are quite talented. I was surprise at the different tools they use to create these ice sculptures. The theme this year was circus. A Happy Birthday to my cousin Yvette's daughter Hannah. Tristan and Hannah are three days apart. We celebreated Tristan's birthday on Monday the 28th. Small celebration here at home with grandparents, aunties and uncles. Tristan is such a little character, he walked in and we yelled surprise he was just too cute. Early that morning when he woke up his mom wished him a Happy Birthday and his response was where are my balloons, cake and presents? Hard to believe that March is here. Times sure does go by quickly. Thirty one years ago yesterday Angel and I started dating. Angel was 15 and I was 16. It seems that the days are getting sunnier, but still cold and windy. Looking forward to Spring!!

February coming and going sooo fast.
Well it's been an interesting winter...heard on the news today that since 12/25 it's snowed every week in CT. It's been an absolute mess. Lots of snow, ice and sleet storm. Many roofs and building collapsing. Quite scary, last week before another storm we had the roof raked and the driveway cleaned out. Scary to watch those guys on 14 feet ladders raking snow off of roofs. So many school closings and hubby working from home. It's great having them all home, nice and warm. Although it means more cooking and cleaning...but then again it's all about My Family. Lots of thinking lately and feeling blessed. No of course things aren't perfect in my world, but I'm happy and content and God is strength! Children are sooo funny and just amazing our son Andrew storms into our bedroom the other night, we're sleeping and I guess I was on Angel's side of the bed, it looked as though Angel was falling off the bed. My little guy yells out Mom are you trying to push Dad off the bed, are you trying to break his other arm? So cute, so innocent and so serious...Angel and I had to burst out laughing. These are the moments to treasure. Andrew is such a character..such a smart little guy!! He's been chosen to be one of the co-editors for the school newspapaper. Such a responsible little fella he gets up early twice a week to meet with his team at school. On another note Angel and I went into NY to help Jenn with her moving...very sad time for me! I can only imagine what she's going through, what's on her mind? Wish my sis were a little more open. I love her to pieces, gosh at times I feel so responsible for her..my little sister if I could shelter her from all. Unfortunately we all experience ups and downs in our lives. Wish I could take on all of my loved ones burdens. But then again that's me. All I can do is pray and ask God to give us all the knowledge, wisdom and strenght to endure all that comes our way. Tristan 3rd birthday is almost here, time sure does go by quickly...it seems as though he was just born the other day. For all of those who aren't grandparents yet...It's just unexplicable!! I love him more than words can ever say. Well I guess it's that time of the year again, where birthdays and accomplishments are celebrated..nothing like family and family time.

Jan 2011
Wow, it's been two weeks since I last blogged. Promised myself that I wouldn't neglect it this year. So here we go. It's been a hell of a winter...it has snowed quite a bit...with much accumulations. The boys have had 5 snow days already. Looks like they probably will not have a recess in April. There's been a football frenzy at our home...Angel has managed to get Andrew hooked on football...this child loves the game. To our surprise he's a New England Patriots fan. Had a bittersweet day at home on the 16th when the New England Patriots faced the New York Jets. Of course the New York Jets went on to defeat the Pats. Unfortunately the Pittsburg Steelers defeated the New York Jets and will be facing off with the Greenbay Packers at the Super Bowl this year. Looking forward to Super Bowl Sunday. Rooting for the Packers!! Go PACKERS!!! It was nice having famly over. Nacho,Jessica and their family along with Cooky, Ieana and Jenn came down to CT for a weekend. Their son Jordan's birthday wish was to spend his weekend with Andrew at Coco Key Indoor Water Resort. Quite an interesting water park. Funny to see some in their swim suits and others in their winter clothing. Tristan and Andy had an awesome time. Sabrina also had a great time. Aaron of course didn't want to come along. Oh boy what a week we had Tristan picked up a bug somewhere and brought it home. The yucky virus went around the house and in a week we had all had it. Geez Angel and I hadn't slept that much in years!! LOL..good rest though!! Ok till the next posting!! I <3 MY FAMILY MY WORLD!!

Happy New Year!! 2011
Hard to believe that 2011 is here!! Holidays came and went!! Grateful for the good things that 2010 brought and looking forward to all the better things that 2011 has in store. Thanking God for all that he has given us and even better the opportunity to bless others! God is so good and forever faithful. Even when we fall him he never fails us. Thank you Lord!! Old Man Winter is rasing havoc across the states, seems like the South is getting hit more than usual NYC was also hit with a blizzard and luckily we were spared!! It's been a bit colder but that's New England. Looking forward to the coming year as we begin to celebrate birthdays, milestones and accomplishments. Taking the good along with whatever negative may also come our way. If God before us than who could be against us.
Bottom line it's all about FAMILY!!
Bottom line it's all about FAMILY!!
Oct,, Nov, Dec
Hard to believe summer is over and fall foliage is here. It's one of the prettiest seasons, the cleanup part is not so nice with all the leaves coming down on the property. Lots of work!! Oct was fun filled with costume shopping and pumpking picking. The kids had a great time over at Roseberry's Farm in Glastonbury. The Russells came along. This Thanksgiving we opted to stay home...wanted to do some black Friday shopping. I must admit we did get some great sales. Angel, Sam and I headed out to Toys R Us, Target, Old Navy and Walmart.. we headed out at 11:00pm. We didnt return back home till 7:30 am.. oh boy were we exhausted...slept for only 3 hours then it was time to head out to the airport and get my twin sister Nilsa...she spent a few days here...we drove into NYC to see mom and the family. It's always nice seeing family..We also stopped in to see Tonita, (my dear mother in law). It was sad for Angel to see how she's slowly deteriorating. While Nilsa was here we went out shopping with Marisol. Nilsa was able to do some scrapbooking...not as much as we would have liked. Dec cane in and it was time to start the shopping. Got out quite a few times with Sam and Sabrina. Angel and I did most of our shopping online. nothing like shopping for your children and seeing those smiling faces on Christmas morning. Christmas morning was quite exciting!! Although the kids are mostly grown, they always sit down for the traditional pic!! Santa as usual was generous...this year a bit more. It was fun watching Tristan open his Christmas presemts, he was such a big boy opening his gifts one by one and not stopping to play with just one. He's certainly enjoying his Thomas the Train table and train sets. His mommy has learned from her parents to spoil her little guy. Andrew was excited as he got his Kinect, Ipod touch and laptop along with all the other goodies from his siblings. The older kids thrilled with their electronic gadgets.
July, August, Sept.
Looking back now what an awesome summer...Fourth of July we did our uusual barbecue...Mom, Jenn, Jenna, the Lallaves, Sheldon, Tim and his mom and stepdad. This summer was full of trips here and there..actually made it to NYC quite a few times. Many trips to six flags, the lake and even the beach. Kim came over for a week and we had a great time, manage to get a trip to six flags and the beach. It was fun bringing Tristan to the beach he loved playing in the sand. Aaron and I drove Kim to Boston, long ride but nice. Angel stayed home and watched Andrew while Sabrina went to her first college orientation. School begain and the girls went on to college and Aaron hard to believe his 2nd year of H.S. My boy is loving his school! We knew it was a great choice. Our little guy Andy is now in the 3rd grade...wow where have the last 8 years gone? On Labor Day Angel, and I along with the kids went to Five Guys it was our first time. We then headed out to Gilette Castle and Devil's Leap Park ..what a beautiful scenaries. We got beautiful fall pics.

April, May, June
Once again I've neglected this blog...but oh well let's recap as best as I can remember. Hard to believe that we've had awesome weather!! It's been warmer than usual. We finally had a nice warm Easter Sunday, I can't remember when was the last Easter with such gorgeous weather. On Easter Sunday we had a blast, Mom, Jenn and her family were here. We started out with a fun filled morning. The kids dyed eggs, made crafts, decorated egg shaped cupcakes, had an egg hunt and after dinner got to open their Easter baskets. We were lucky to get some pics of the little ones. Tristan was such a little trooper, first egg hunt for him. Spring break was sort of a bummer this year, Aaron's school and Sabrina and Andrew's were off on two different weeks. We finally got Sabrina to the Museum of Modern Art to see the Tim Burton exhibit. The boys and I headed out to Times Square we had an great time. Andrew finally got his wish to visit Times Square in New York City and I got to eat a piece of my favorite Juniors Strawberry Cheesecake. Oh well life is good!! Looking forward to National Scrapbooking Day, Nilsa and I will be cyber cropping via skpe. I'm a little nervous about Sam's and Tristan's trip to Florida. I will surely miss my babies. Sam and Tristie made it Florida...my babies had an awesome time. Loving all the pics. My baby is just getting too big. Same old usual Spring has Sprung. On Memorial Day we headed out to a lake in Hebron,CT Gay City Park, had a nice time Angel and the boys went fishing for a little and the kids also went swimming...nice little lake..a bit surprised at the diversity there...many cultures and it seemed that the different races each had their specific areas, felt right at home sitting next to all the hispanics. Although everyone had their own space the atmosphere was nice and pretty much quiet...(seems that us hispanics are the loudest). Don't care what anyone says but racism exist and people seem to segregate themselves. I seem to fit in with just about anyone, color, race or a persons educational status does not intimidate me. On June 1st Angel and I celebrated our 25th anniversary...no big shindu just went out for a quiet dinner for two. Like I've said many times...25 years, short of perfect but we learned alot along the way. Feeling blessed without home our, four children and lovee Tristan. On Father's School is finally over, Sabrina has graduated from Hish School and will be attending college here in town. Aaron is going into his 2nd year of High School, Andrew into 3rd grade. Samantha is still attending school and hopefully in another year or so she will be done. On Fathers Day we headed out to one of our Family's favorite amusement parks Six Flgags New England.

It was also nice of have Madrina, Cookie, Brunilda, their children and their children's children. Maritza and Henry were also here with their children. It was great having them all here but my biggest surprise was having my dear cousin Yvette here with her beautiful family. It's been years since she's been here and we had a blast. We also had birthday cakes for my sister-in-law Sonia and Andrew. On March 16, we celebrated Andrew's 8th birthday and on March 31, we celebrated Sabrina's 18th birthday.

Blog Slacker!! A year in Review 2009
Hard to believe how I've badly neglected this blog. Anyway let me go through the last year as quickly as possible. Well on February 28, my lovee Tristan turned 1. We had a birthday party at the house with only Grandparents, aunties, uncles and a handful of the most special friends any familly can ask for. It was defintely a cold winter with lots of snow..and many school closings. On March 16 our Andrew turned 7, and our daughter Sabrina turned 17. Hard to believe that these kids are growing just too fast. Easter Sun, was as traditional as always, we stayed home. Dyed eggs and had an Easter egg hunt. The kids were thrilled with their goodies. Tristan just looked too cute in his little newspaper boy cap and Gymboree outfit.
May was a quiet month and in June Sabrina attended Junior prom. One more year for our little girl!! Hard to believe that on June 3, Angel and I celebrated 24 years of marriage. Our marriage has sustained many ups and downs, but through the Grace of God we've made it. Kids are going into the next grade. We then went over to Manchester High School where Sabrina was volnteering at the Haunted House, even Katie came along with her bumble bee costume. We went trick or treating afterwards. What a day of events. Kids were thrilled when they came home with their loot. Nov..Our neice Amanda came from Florida, it was a short visit, but sweet...it's always fun to see family. We skipped our Traditional Thanksgiving and headed out to NYC for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Went to see my mother in law Tonita.. God Bless her although bed ridden she looks marvelous. Had Thanksgiving Day Dinner at moms. It was nice to see my brother Jaime wife Robin and their gorgeous little fella's Jayden and Jaime. Lastly we headed out to Cooky and Hilario's for the night. Sabrina
On Saturday Sabrina Manchester High Schools Ball Dance. Here is a picture of her and her date.
Busy-ness
It's been awhile since I've updated my blog. Many ups and downs, but staying strong and positive! On a more positive note, Samantha has begun a new job. I admire my baby although she may be a single Mom she's a full time student and a hard worker. With the New Year comes a new ME!!! Time to start thinking about ME. I've dedicated the last 21 years to my family and it has always been me taking care of them being that I'm a stay at home Mom. Now it's time for me to start doing a little more for myself, which doesn't mean I will be doing less for them.

Scrapbooking
After three years of having been introduced to scrapbooking I have finally begun to scrapbook. I joined the challenge at http://www.scrapwhispers.blogspot/ and it has certainly helped me. Here are a few LO's. I mostly scrapbook my children, grandson and family. My mission is to create memories for them when I am long gone.
